Entry # 1: “Who am I”
Funny,
outgoing, carrying these are things that come to mind when I’m asked to
describe my self. Then I get stuck I’m from Harlem New York City and am Latin.
No kids in BMCC for Criminal justice hopefully to become an ATF agent after
more school. With my education in CRJ I would like to go back to California and
be a feudal agent.
I once
lived in California when I was younger and got to experience a different way of
life. Everything was more layback and I got to feel how it be to be living on my
own. I had my own place with my brother I was working and had my own car. Every
weekend there was something to do from bon fires to get together at each
other’s house. I was sure that moving from New York to California was the best
thing that happened but it was short lived. I went back one winter about a year
later to see my family in the east coast when I was tricked in to staying.
My
parents didn’t like the freedom I had and thought that the path I was taking I
wouldn’t go to college. Then my brother’s ex wife decided to always put me in
between their marriage so then my parents thinking I was the cause of their
fighting. I went from being on top of world to back to square one. I came back
to New York for college and been here since. Now I believe everything happens
for a reason. BMCC hasn’t been to bad for me coming back on short notice. I’m
in my second year and enjoying it making the best out if it.
Hey Rafael.. Well you're right, everything does happen for a reason. Today you are here and tomorrow who knows where you might be. From what i have read your life did a 360 degree change on you. You went from being an independent man to living back with your parents, but hey there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m sorry to hear about what happened with your brother and his ex-wife, but remember that in this life you are always going to have people who try to blame you for their problems. Now you are in college doing all you can to accomplish your goal which is to become an ATF agent and I’m sure you will accomplish it if you give it your all. You are very young and have your whole life ahead of you so just live everyday like if it was your last. Stay positive.
ReplyDeleteGoing from independent to dependent is a hard pitfall, but its part of growing up. We all go through trails to realize how strong minded we actually are. I understand the hardship of being put in the middle of situations and hopefully time will make it better. But as I was once told If you think Lifes Tough ask yourself Compared to What?
